As a co-founder and a general partner for Silver Creek Ventures, Mr. Segrest has focused his investment activities on information technologies, particularly in the areas of security, networking, and services. Michael has worked with over 90 startup companies since 1991, including experience in over 35 portfolio company boards.

 

In addition to his roles as board member and investor, Mr. Segrest served as COO for Nimbix, Inc., a high performance cloud computing company, from 2018 through its acquisition by ATOS in 2021.

 

Prior to Silver Creek, Mr. Segrest served as a principal for a merchant banking firm specializing in the communications industries. Mr. Segrest received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in the ERB program and his MBA  from UT-Austin as well.
